Huawei, the Chinese smartphone giant is said to sell over 139 million smartphones all over the world and it has made a wonderful debut for the year 2017 with the launch of Honor 6X. Big news for the users is that the company has officially announced its EMUI 5.1 update plans for various smartphones. As we all know, Huawei phones runs on its custom developed chipsets and their own custom EMUI OS. Many of the device users were eagerly waiting for the Nougat update and Huawei fulfill this by rolling our EMUI 5.1 update for supportive handsets.
According to Huawei, the Honor 8, Honor 6X, Honor 5C, and Huawei P9 will get EMUI 5.1 update by May end this year. There is no details available regarding the update being rolled out to other company models. Honor 8 Lite, the newly launched smartphone from the company runs on EMUI 5.1 based on Nougat out of the box.
As EMUI 5.1 is a major update, it brings a lot of new features and optimizations to your device. It also has smooth flawless, and simplified UI for transferring data with an ease. The update also brings better security and privacy features.
Apart from this, it also has better memory management which lets users to kill the apps running in the background and thereby providing more memory for your regular applications. Users will also find App Twin feature along with the update which lets users to create duplicate apps for your social media accounts.
