Huawei Watch GT users reportedly receiving a new firmware update via OTA (over-the-air). The size of the update is about 1.23MB and brings the version 220.127.116.11. Huawei has completely abandoned the Wear OS for its smartwatches just similar to its smartphones which uses custom EMUI skin over stock Android. The Chinese telecom giant has developed its own wearable OS called Huawei wearable platform. However, this smartwatch OS and EMUI OS are both based on Android.
Huawei Watch GT is one of those Huawei wearables which gets regular software updates. Back in May, the company released the 18.104.22.168 update which bought the much-awaited always-on display feature. The update also included bug fixes for heart rate measurement.
Soon after in July, the Watch GT received the 22.214.171.124 update which enabled dual time zone display. The update also brings optimizations to HR and workout tracking.
It’s a month since for the last update and the company is already pushing the next version i.e. 126.96.36.199. The update brings nothing new to the Huawei Watch GT apart from the optimized system stability and enhances user experience. It’s very sad to see that there are no Bluetooth connection fixes as many users have been reportedly facing the issue. I hope it might be resolved in the next monthly update.
