Huawei P30 and P30 Pro are the company’s best camera smartphones to launch in its popular ‘P’ series. Both the devices run on the company’s latest EMUI 9.1 out-of-the-box. Today, the users of P30 and P30 Pro will be happy to gear that the Huawei has started rolling out a new EMUI 9.1 software update. The update pops-up the build version to EMUI 184.108.40.206.
Recently, the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro received the EMUI 220.127.116.11 update with DC Dimming feature. And now, the latest EMUI 9.1 update integrates the July 2019 security patch and also brings bug fixes for in-screen fingerprint reader for faster unlocking speed, camera improvements, and more. Currently, the update is live in several European countries including Germany and may soon arrive in other global regions.
The EMUI 18.104.22.168(C431E4R2P2) is massive in size about 4.10GB. It’s advisable to use WiFi internet for downloading the firmware package as the update is bigger in size and eats all your mobile data.
According to a source, “Today I got it in baltic states. Fingerprint seems to be a little faster but I’m not sure. And the phone feels smoother. For camera changing from main to telephoto transition is faster, some new options for doing video and better autofocus in my opinion. They must have done something more than just fingerprint and camera update because 4GB is a pretty big update.”
As the update is pushed via OTA, it might reach to your Huawei P30 and P30 Pro any time soon. Users can also manually check for updates through Settings > About Phone > System Updates,> Check for Updates. If still no updates appear, then you need to manually request using the HiCare app. You can check how to download and install the latest software using the HiCare app.
